OB/GYN Physician

Full-Time | Charlottesville, VA

Our well-established, private OB/GYN practice is seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to join our team. Our physician group has consistently been voted the top OB/GYN group in Charlottesville. Working with us, you'll have strong surgical and obstetrical volumes, access to the da Vinci robot, and a schedule that leaves room for life outside of medicine. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for women at every stage of life

  • Care for patients through prenatal visits, labor and delivery, and postpartum recovery

  • Perform gynecologic surgeries, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures

  • Manage reproductive health needs, from routine exams to complex conditions

  • Work with physicians, midwives, nurse practitioners, and staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care

Midwife/Nurse Practitioner

Full- or Part-Time | Charlottesville, VA

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Certified Nurse-Midwife / Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established OB/GYN practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. We offer competitive salary and benefits. Depending on qualifications, you will provide comprehensive women’s health services, including prenatal, labor, delivery, postpartum care, and reproductive health management. Your expertise will support patients through all stages of pregnancy and beyond, ensuring personalized, compassionate care in a collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on women’s health and maternal wellness while working within a supportive and innovative healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews, to develop individualized care plans

  • Provide prenatal care, monitor fetal development via sonography, and assist with labor and delivery processes, including childbirth assistance and obstetric surgery support

  • Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, venipuncture, specimen collection/processing, and injection administration with precision and adherence to safety protocols

  • Prescribe medications related to women’s health and reproductive care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on care plans for maternal health, family planning, outpatient procedures, and inpatient management

  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems effectively for documentation, medical records management, CPT coding, ICD coding, and discharge planning

  • Educate patients on topics such as contraception options, childbirth education, pain management strategies, and postpartum recovery

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, obstetric surgery techniques, NICU protocols when applicable, and out-of-hospital birth practices to deliver safe and effective care

Experience:

  • Proven experience as an advanced practice provider specializing in women’s health or obstetrics/gynecology with a focus on patient-centered care

  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing clinical procedures such as suturing, speculum exams, ultrasound (sonography), IV insertions, venipuncture, and specimen handling

  • Hospital or outpatient clinic experience managing obstetric cases, including labor & delivery assistance and postpartum care

  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and patient monitoring

  • Knowledge of obstetric surgery assistance techniques and NICU protocols is highly desirable

  • Out-of-hospital birth experience or involvement in community-based maternal health programs is a plus

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR required; additional certifications in OB/GYN procedures or hospital-based training are preferred.
